![]() The second collection of poems from Sara Crawford!
In a collection of poems inspired by the Atlanta music scene, Atlanta's own musician/playwright/poet, Sara Crawford (of Pocket the Moon/voted Best Local Vocalist in Creative Loafing's Best of 2011), takes us through a journey of the unappreciated indie musician playing night after night in smoke-filled dive bars all for the love of music. Every poem in this collection references an indie band that has played in Atlanta, specifically at the Drunken Unicorn, The Earl, or the Star Bar. Paying tribute to the entire metro area of Atlanta (OTP and ITP alike!), Driving Downtown to the Show serves as a love letter to this growing city and its diverse artists.

Stay tuned for news of my debut Young Adult novel! If you are wondering where I've been/why I am taking a break with music, it is because I have been hard at work on my novel, The Muses. For those of you who are familiar with my play, Painted, it's sort of a spin-off, featuring my personal muses, Vincent and Izabella. |
